Prayer Ministries:

• All newly baptised members and interested non-adventist visitors are cordially invited to Bible Studies with Eld. G. Madourie on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m.

Education Dept:

• The Education Department’s ‘coin drive’ is going very well and we are still accepting all the pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters that you can give us. Give them to any member of the committee: J. McFarlane, J. Baston, T. Goburn, D. Patton, T. Patton, H. Russell. Our children will truly thank you.

Decoration Committee:

• Persons desirous of donating to the church, a plant floral or silk arrangement in honor of any special occasion or event (such as birthdays, anniversaries, etc.), please see Sis. Grace Anderson or Sis. Laura Paddyfote.

Sanctuary Choir:

• The Sanctuary Choir’s Robing Ceremony will take place at North Bronx Church on Sabbath, February 16, 2008 at 4:00 p.m. Everyone is invited to come out and share in this experience, along with family and friends.

Business Meeting:

• There will be a brief Business meeting, to present the 2008 Church Budget, on Sabbath, February 16th following the AY Service. All North Bronx members are asked to attend.

Bible Class:

• There will be Children’s Bible Class every Sabbath afternoon at 4:00 p.m. with Pastor K. Graham. The class will be held in Eld. Madourie’s office. All young ones are invited.
  

Health Ministries:

• Free annual mammography screening by the Women’s Outreach Network, will be held on Sunday, March 2, 2008 between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Please call 1-800-564-6868 to schedule an appointment as soon as possible. An appointment is necessary.
  
• Health Committee meeting will be held today as a ‘working lunch meeting’. All committee members are asked to attend.
  
• CPR training and recertification will be offered on Sunday, April 6, 2008. Anyone interested, please see Sis. A. Forrest or any of the Health Committee members to register. Cost:- Recertification - $50.00; CPR for friends and family - $25.00. A certificate will be issued to participants at the completion of the course.
  

Men's Ministry:

• The Men’s Ministry conducts a monthly meeting on the second Sunday of each month. The next meeting will be tomorrow, Sunday, February 10, 2008. All men are asked to give their full support and come prepared to pray together and give testimonies.
  
• The Men’s Ministry conducts prayer and fasting every Wednesday. All men are invited to participate in this spiritual exercise.
  
• All men are invited to join the prayer line every morning, Sundays through Fridays at 5:30 a.m. The telephone number is 605-475-6111, access code 13514.
  
• The Men’s Ministry exercise program is held at the North Bronx Church, Sundays at 8:00 a.m. This includes walking, soccer and basket ball. The entire family is encouraged to attend. Please see Bro. Barnes for more details.
  

Deacons/Deaconesses:

• Deacons/Deaconesses’ meeting held every fourth Sunday at 4:00 p.m. The Executive Body meets every 3rd Sunday at 4:00 p.m.
  

Family Life:

• The Family Life & Men’s Ministries Departments of the Greater New York Conference present: Caribbean Cruise 2008, August 17 – 24, 2008, a fabulous 7 night Southern Caribbean Cruise. Final Payment – due March 12, 2008. Rates include: 7 day cruise, all meals, seminars, taxes and port charges. See Eld. Maurice Ojwang for application forms.

Singles Ministry:

• A Singles meeting is held every fourth Sabbath, after the Divine Hour. The next meeting will be Sabbath, March 22, 2008. All Singles are invited to attend.
  
• The Singles Ministry will be hosting a Black History Celebration on Sabbath, February 23, 2008, following the AY Service. Ladies are asked to wear African attire where possible. Everyone is invited to participate.

Evangelism:

• There will be an Evangelism Planning Committee meeting on Tuesday, February 12, 2008 at 7:30 p.m. All Department heads are asked to attend.

Women's Ministry:

• The 20th annual GNYC Women’s Prayer Retreat will be held in Marlborough, Massachusetts, April 17 – 20, 2008. It promises to give a mountain-top, Spirit-filled experience. You don’t want to miss it! Invite a friend with you. See any member of the Women’s Ministry team for more details.
  
• All members of the Women’s Ministry Council are asked to meet with Sis. Grace Anderson today after the AY Service.
  
• All women, ages 12 and up, are reminded of their meeting on Sabbath, February 23rd after AY.
  
• Tapes of Sis. Prime’s Evangelistic Series are now available. Individuals who have ordered tapes may pick up their copies from Sis. Grace Anderson.

Pathfinder Dept:

• Pathfinder/Adventurer 2008 Calendar/First Quarter

  Meetings will be held every 1st Sunday of the Month from 10:00 – 1:00 pm and every 2nd & 4th Sabbath @ 5:30 pm. Attendance & Promptness are important to our success! Club meeting this Sabbath evening, Feb. 9th @ 5:30 p.m.

• Pathfinder of the Month -- Requirement

  • Perfect Attendance;
  • Homework Assignment completion;
  • Know at least 3 of your texts;
  • Participation in club activities.
    
• Become "Pathfinder of the Month" any two (2) consecutive month and be sponsored to the next day trip for free (meals & transportation included).
  
• Become "Pathfinder of the Month" any three (3) consecutive month and be sponsored to the next Camporee.
  
• Complete the above and complete your entire book before May 2008,and become "Pathfinder of the Year". Plaque & Recognition Ceremony!
